During an opening ceremony the President of AIC, Dr. Shahrokh MirzaHosseini, and the Headmaster, Mr. Csaba Dani, held motivating speeches for the high school students, some parents, teachers, and the staff of the Student Center who were present in the event. Dr. MirzaHosseini started his speech by referring to the Corona Pandemic and the threats and opportunities this condition has posed to all the world and to our community. He mentioned that although we are expected to keep a physical distance to reduce the chances of viral spread but this condition should not and will not lead to our social distancing. This condition has rather brought us closer to each other. For the first time after many years, we are again thinking about our nature seriously. It was mentioned that we will take care of each other at Avicenna and the health and well-being of our students is the most important point for AIC.

Later, the course of study was explained for the past and new students. The “Student Handbook” was shown which explains every activity of the student during the academic year in detail. This is something new and unique in Hungary to detail all the school activities in advance, despite the uncertainties caused by the pandemic.

The Internal and External exams were discussed and the windows of opportunities opened in front of the Avicenna students to earn a second degree which could be A-Level or American Diploma or IB.

After the welcome speech of the Headmaster, students joined their classes on the first floor and they were greeted by their Head Teachers. During this week the exams and tests in languages and other subjects will be administered. Education according to the class schedule will start from next week.

The Post-Secondary courses at Avicenna International College will start from mid-September which will be reported separately.

Monday, 1st of September 2020.
