Our first ever Spanish Erasmus students at AIC

2024-05-11T19:23:55+02:00

We received the Erasmus academic visit of teachers and students from EOI Rivas -Arganda (Madrid, Spain). They fully participated in our academic experience, spending 5 days among us. They learnt about Hungarian history, language, and traditions, about our education system, and also shared their views on career prospects in a talk. We all spent great moments together during the cultural visits, accompanied by our staff and the job shadowing teachers from Umbría (Italy), all in a European spirit and an international context. An enriching experience with future prospects of collaboration. [...]

Erasmus – Stress Relief and Well-being Strategies for Teachers

2024-03-06T12:41:00+01:00

My choice of course was a different one regarding structured educational visits but unfortunately that one was cancelled with my accommodation and flight ticket already booked so I had to look elsewhere and I found this. I knew the location and as it turned out the trainer Olga as well, from a previous course which was an unexpected surprise. My 8 classmates came from Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Poland, one of them was also a school director, in this case a primary school director. When you join these Erasmus courses you can expect one [...]

Discovering the Best Educational Systems from Europe and the World – Rome

2023-07-23T12:58:06+02:00

This course held in Rome was the last one out of seven individual teacher courses and training of our 2022-23 Erasmus Project Cycle. I opted for this course because I found its description rather appealing, hoping to learn more about the education systems developed and adopted by different other EU and international schools beyond the EU, through discussion and collaborative learning.

2023-06-16T12:10:03+02:00

Approaching Multicultural Issues and Mixed Ability Classes I took part in this amazing mobility course offered by the International training center in Prague between 5th to 9th December of 2022. On the first day, we had a very friendly welcome by David Brož, the manager and also by our trainer Denisa Mouchová and then David smoothly finalized our registration for the course and then collected our documents that needed to be signed by ITC. I should mention that they had a very organized and professional approach all through the course. The group was so great that [...]

Preparations for our student Erasmus group mobility in Italy

2022-12-15T10:51:09+01:00

In early September, on the 12th and 13th, I spent two days in Foligno to prepare an Erasmus group mobility activity for ten carefully selected AIC students for March 2023. Foligno is the third largest town in Umbria region, in central Italy. This mesmerizingly green and close-to-nature, ancient Italian town is surrounded by the Apennines Mountain range, and it lies along the Topino river. The town itself is famous for the first ever print of the Divine Comedy, Dante’s book which is one of the most important literacy works in the Western culture. [...]

Erasmus – Creative use of Technology in the classroom in Malta

2022-12-19T08:17:08+01:00

Building bridges between EU schools to provide opportunities for our pupils of today and tomorrow. Representing the Avicenna International College from Budapest, I took part in a ten-day programme titled: Creative use of Technology in the Classroom at the Alpha School of English in St. Paul’s Bay, Malta with the very sympathetic and enthusiastic trainer Maria Mifsud. I had been learning a lot of web pages and apps I can use in the classroom works – some of them seemed very useful. There were websites for collaborative classroom work, and others for the motivations of the [...]

Erasmus – ICT Tools for a Creative and Collaborative Classroom in Rome

2022-12-19T08:17:30+01:00

Building bridges between EU schools to provide opportunities for our pupils of today and tomorrow. In the following lines, I am going to share my experience and thoughts about the above-mentioned mobility I took part in. I am sharing my feelings and ideas as a high school teacher while reflecting on them from a professional and personal view. This experience was the very first one for me since I have been a teacher in secondary education only for a couple of years. Even though I did learn about ICT tools and had the opportunity to improve [...]

Erasmus – Conflict Management, Emotional Intelligence and Bullying Prevention in Florence

2022-12-19T08:17:43+01:00

Conflict Management, Emotional Intelligence and Bullying Prevention I took part in this programme as the first mobility of our second Erasmus project involving 7 teachers and 2 groups of students at my international high school Avicenna IC in Budapest, called: Building bridges between EU schools to provide opportunities for our pupils of today and tomorrow. I chose Europass Teacher Academy as a course provider based on my earlier positive experience with them. Recently, in the post-Covid era they embarked on a massive expansion setting up Study Centres and Studios all over Europe with Florence as [...]

Erasmus – ICT Tools for a Creative and Collaborative Classroom in Rome 22-26 May 2023

2023-06-16T10:39:20+02:00

This mobility experience was the second in a row for me in the 12 months long Erasmus project of our Avicenna International College in Budapest: Building bridges between EU schools to provide opportunities for our pupils of today and tomorrow. I picked this course because my ICT skills definitely needed a good polishing to be able to use an ever-increasing array of digital platforms in the classroom to make teaching not only all the more interesting but also more up to date in line with the latest developments to help the progression of our students. What [...]
