I had a dream same as every other kid. I wanted to make it into the National team of Hungary. It was a big goal for me that I wanted to achieve no matter what. I started training in 2022 in a local gym where the trainers saw me and told me that I should try powerlifting competitively. After thinking about it I took my chances and I joined my current team Sirius Lifting. I started working together with a coach as soon as possible to be able to compete in November. We had an amazing preparation for the competition and I made it to my first competition in November which was a National qualification competition. At that competition I became second and by that I qualified to National championship.

Avicenna students in Ireland: Exploring History, Culture, and Coastlines – A Two-Week Erasmus+ Mobility Program in Dublin

After years of preparation and hard work, AIC was finally given the opportunity to offer short-term Erasmus+ mobility experiences to our high school students. This semester, fully embarking on this project, we have completed two trips: first to Italy with a group of older students, and then to Ireland with another group of the younger ones. Ten students were selected to spend two weeks in Ireland accompanied by their history teacher, Mr. Mark. Within this short-term Erasmus program, we took part in a so-called “Authentic Irish Experience” project which meant that we were accommodated by local Irish families in Dublin for the duration of our stay and took part in a two-week course provided by Apollo Language Center. The students spent their classes engaging in interactive learning activities with the aim of gaining a deeper understanding of Irish history, language and culture, and also to expand their knowledge and consciousness of intercultural values and European citizenship.

On the 24th of November, AIC students visited Gül Baba's tomb in the Buda district of Rózsadomb. Gül Baba (born in Merzifon, present-day Turkey) was a Dervish member of the Ottoman empire in Buda, who died in 1541. This beautiful türbe (meaning tomb in Turkish) is the northernmost Islamic pilgrimage site in the world and is regarded as a significant part of Hungary's historical heritage as it was left unharmed during the Habsburg invasion and the consequent World Wars.

"érettségi" at Avicenna International College 2020, June 11. We are proud to announce that our Hungarian and international students received their érettségi (High School Diploma) from the Hungarian Government after completing their studies at the "English-Hungarian Bi-lingual International High School" of Avicenna International College. This degree is accepted in Hungary and all around the world. With this degree, our graduate students can study in Hungary or any other European country with no need for accreditation or evaluation. This degree states that our students have successfully completed high school or secondary studies. It is also a European language certificate (similar to IELTS). So our students do not need to take any other language test during university studies. This degree states that they have English knowledge equal to C1 and also in Hungarian language minimum equal to B1 or B2.

Avicenna International College canceled its classes two weeks earlier than the order of the Hungarian Education Authority (OH) to close the schools, universities, and colleges. However, I am happy that thanks to the hard work of my colleagues we immediately started with online education and we will further develop this service in the future. The Student Center of AIC will remain functional and will provide services to our students and other external students to apply for universities. However, these services are now online, via phone, videoconference, and email. We will continue with our meetings (virtual), consultations (online) and registration for the university entrance examinations. My colleagues are working really hard to make sure that you can register at the university of your choice and fulfill all their requirements.
