AIC Works for Innovation at This Year’s General Assembly with the Federation for European Education

The General Assembly of the Federation for European Education (FEDE) stood out as one of the most significant international events of the year addressing the challenges of the AI age in education, business, organizational culture, and institutional strategy.

Bringing together more than 170 participants from 23 countries, the event created a dynamic platform for exchanging good practices and driving innovation. Key discussions focused on pressing questions such as how to identify and map emerging skills in a rapidly changing world, how to shift from knowledge transmission to fostering autonomy and creativity, and how institutions can develop coherent, system-wide AI strategies.

Participants also explored how to recruit and retain qualified teachers in a growing global education landscape, and how institutional leaders can develop the AI expertise needed to guide meaningful transformation.

For Avicenna International College (AIC)—the only institution representing Hungary—the event marked an outstanding milestone. Dr. Shahrokh MirzaHosseini contributed as a panel speaker in the session “Digital and Technological Transitions – Leading the Institution in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”, where he presented AIC’s newly developed AI-integrated MBA programme designed to support leaders in managing change and addressing equity challenges in the AI age.

He was also invited to officially announce the launch of FEDE’s AI in Education Committee, outlining its mission and encouraging member institutions to join this collaborative initiative. In recognition of his leadership, he was appointed as the first Chair of the committee.

The General Assembly also celebrated the release of FEDE’s new publication, 86 Perspectives on Transitions, a collection of expert insights on navigating AI-driven change in education and leadership. Dr. Kornél Farkas from AIC contributed a chapter titled “The Teacher-Centered Transition: Three Sets of Strategies for the AI Age”, emphasizing the central role of teachers and the need to align AI-, institutional-, and pedagogical strategies to support them effectively.

Through these high-level contributions, AIC not only strengthened its position within the FEDE network but also reinforced its role as a forward-thinking institution shaping the future of AI-integrated education. The outcomes of the General Assembly are expected to inspire new collaborations, influence institutional strategies, and support the development of innovative, human-centered learning environments across Europe and beyond.
