Students, mentors, and staff gathered at Avicenna International College to celebrate achievements, reflect on growth, and conclude another inspiring academic year together.
Celebrating Another Meaningful Year at AIC
At Avicenna International College, the end of an academic year is far more than a formal ceremony. It is an opportunity to celebrate growth, recognize achievements, reflect on challenges overcome, and strengthen the sense of belonging that defines our community.
On 19 June, students from Grades 9, 10, and 11, together with mentors, teachers, and staff members, gathered for the College’s annual End of Year Ceremony. The event marked the conclusion of another dynamic and rewarding academic year and provided a meaningful moment for the entire community to look back with pride and look ahead with optimism.
The ceremony reflected one of the core beliefs of AIC: education is not only about academic success. It is equally about personal growth, resilience, responsibility, and becoming the best version of ourselves.
Words of Inspiration from College Leadership
The ceremony began with an inspiring address by Dr. Shahrokh MirzaHosseini, President of Avicenna International College.
In his speech, he encouraged students to continue approaching life with curiosity, responsibility, and determination. He reminded students that true success cannot be measured solely by grades or examinations. Character, perseverance, kindness, and a commitment to continuous learning are equally important qualities that shape future leaders and responsible global citizens.
Following the President’s address, Mr. Steve Szabo, Principal of the College, congratulated students on their accomplishments throughout the year and acknowledged the dedication demonstrated by both students and teachers. He highlighted the importance of maintaining effective study habits, remaining curious, and striving for excellence in all aspects of school life.
Mr. Szabo also expressed his appreciation to the academic staff for their unwavering commitment and wished everyone a joyful, restful, and memorable summer break.
Recognizing Student Growth and Excellence
An important part of the ceremony was dedicated to celebrating the achievements and development of students across different grade levels.
Ms. Réka addressed Grade 9 students and concluded her remarks by sharing a thoughtful poem about friendship, learning, and the opportunities that lie ahead. Her message offered encouragement and inspiration to students as they continue their educational journey.
Mr. Steve Szabo later recognized several outstanding Grade 10 students, highlighting not only academic achievements but also qualities such as commitment, teamwork, and peer support. His remarks reinforced the idea that excellence is built through consistent effort, collaboration, and a willingness to help others succeed.
For Grade 11 students, Mr. Harout reflected on the remarkable progress students had made during the year. He praised their growing maturity, sense of responsibility, and readiness to embrace the important challenges that await them in their final year at AIC.

Learning Beyond the Classroom
At Avicenna International College, learning extends well beyond traditional academic experiences.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was the recognition of students involved in Erasmus activities and international projects. Certificates of appreciation were presented to members of the Erasmus Student Committee in recognition of their active participation and valuable contributions to international collaboration initiatives.
Special recognition was given to Amira Hassan for her exceptional dedication, collaboration, and support provided to international visiting groups throughout the academic year. Through her enthusiasm, hospitality, and commitment, she has played an important role in strengthening intercultural understanding and representing the spirit and values of AIC beyond the College community.
Such contributions reflect the essence of the Avicenna experience, where students are encouraged not only to achieve academically but also to grow as compassionate, responsible, and globally minded individuals.
More Than Academic Achievement
The End of Year Ceremony served as a powerful reminder that education at AIC is a journey of becoming.
Our students are encouraged to think independently, support one another, embrace challenges, and actively shape their own learning paths. Guided by mentors and supported by a caring international community, they develop not only knowledge but also confidence, empathy, and a lifelong love of learning.
These values remain at the heart of the AIC experience and continue to shape our vision of education as a human centered and future ready journey.

Looking Ahead
Following the ceremony, students officially began their summer holidays while teachers continued their important work by participating in the final grading meeting and preparing annual reports.
As another academic year comes to a close, the Avicenna community looks back with gratitude and pride. The achievements celebrated during the ceremony are not only milestones of academic progress but also reflections of a vibrant and supportive community where learning truly feels alive.
We wish all our students and families a joyful summer filled with rest, discovery, and new experiences.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to their second home in September for another exciting year of learning, growth, and inspiration.
