I took part in an Erasmus+ course called “AI and the 6Cs for Future-Ready Teaching.” My group was small and friendly. There were five of us, and four of the others came from Germany. Even though we were from different places, we worked very well together.
The training was full of group activities. We did not just sit and listen; we were very active and helped each other with every task. One of the best parts was when everyone gave a short talk about their own school or workplace. This helped me understand the different situations teachers face in other countries.
In the course, we learned how to use different AI tools to help students with the 6Cs. We looked at how AI can help students be more creative and how it can help them think deeply (Critical Thinking). We also learned how these digital tools can help students talk to each other better (Communication) and work together in teams (Collaboration). Finally, we saw how AI can help build a student’s Character and help them become good members of society (Citizenship).
Discovering Ghent During the Erasmus Experience
The course was not only about computers and AI. We also spent a lot of time learning about Ghent.
Our experience in the city was made even better by a professional guide who led us on a walking tour through the heart of Ghent. As we walked, the guide showed us the beautiful old buildings and famous landmarks, explaining how the city has changed over hundreds of years. We listened to fascinating stories about the local history and the unique culture of the people who live there. This tour helped us understand Ghent much more deeply than if we had just walked around on our own, and it made us feel more connected to the city’s traditions.
The Teachers Academy gave us a “City Pass Card.” This was very useful! We used it to visit several museums. We used the card to rent bikes for 24 hours. One of the participants and I went for a bike ride together. It was a great way to see the streets and find nice local restaurants to try Belgian food.
New Skills and Confidence After the Erasmus Course
I feel much more confident now. I have a new understanding of digital technology, and I know how to use AI in my classroom in a practical way. At the same time, I learned a lot about history and enjoyed the local lifestyle.
I really enjoyed the trip, and I think the experience could be made even more convenient with some additional opportunities for participants to connect before the trip starts. If we can talk early, we can plan our travel together. For example, some people could share a car, which is better for the environment (green travel). We could also share an apartment, which would make the start of the trip much easier for everyone.
Using AI and the 6Cs in My Classroom
I will use AI tools in my daily classes to help my students learn the 6Cs. For example, I will use AI programs that help students talk to each other and come up with new ideas. This will make them better at Communication and Creativity.
Sharing Erasmus Knowledge With Other Teachers
I also want to be a mentor for other teachers. I will host workshops at my school to show my colleagues how to use these tools. This way, more teachers can use AI, not just me. I will also suggest the best AI apps for our school subjects. This will help our school move from old teaching ways to a more modern, digital style of learning.

I am deeply grateful to the Erasmus manager at AIC for his incredible support. He put a lot of effort into helping me, and his professional expertise was essential. He helped me find the perfect course for my goals and helped me through the entire registration process without any problems. I truly appreciate his dedication, as his help ensured that my experience was a complete success.
