Avicenna Students Gain Valuable Insights at the Educatio Fair in Budapest

On the second day of the Educatio International Education Fair in Budapest on 9 January 2026, a group of Grade 12 students from Avicenna, together with learners from the Medical Foundation Programme, took part in one of the most important higher-education events of the year. The visit proved to be an extremely useful and motivating experience as students had the opportunity to meet university representatives in person and collect first-hand information before making one of the most significant decisions of their lives: choosing the right university.

The Educatio Fair brought together institutions from Hungary and abroad, offering a wide range of programmes in medicine, life sciences, engineering, business and many other fields. Our students were able to explore various study pathways, admission requirements, scholarship opportunities and campus life options. For many of them, this was the first time they could speak directly to admissions officers, programme coordinators and current university students, allowing them to ask specific questions related to their own academic goals.

Grade 12 students, who will be submitting their university applications in the coming weeks, found these conversations particularly valuable. They could clarify details about entry exams, language requirements, preparatory courses and application deadlines. Medical Foundation Programme students, many of whom aim to continue their studies in medicine or health-related disciplines, also benefited from learning about foundation years, transfer possibilities and international programmes tailored to their future careers.

Beyond collecting brochures and business cards, the visit helped students gain confidence. Speaking face to face with professionals from universities transformed abstract plans into realistic, achievable goals. Several students commented that the fair helped them narrow down their choices, while others discovered new institutions and programmes they had not previously considered.

This visit perfectly reflects Avicenna’s commitment to providing 360-degree support for its students. Our mission goes far beyond helping learners graduate from high school with strong academic results. We are equally dedicated to guiding them through the complex process of higher-education selection, ensuring that they are well informed, prepared and confident when making their decisions.

By organising opportunities such as the Educatio Fair visit, Avicenna continues to bridge the gap between secondary education and university life. We believe that real success is not only measured by diplomas, but also by our students’ ability to choose the right path for their future. The experience was another important step in empowering our students to take ownership of their academic journeys and move forward with clarity and purpose.
