Appointment announced at FEDE General Assembly 2026, marking a new step in international collaboration on AI in education

Dr. Shahrokh MirzaHosseini, President of Avicenna International College (AIC), has been appointed as the first Chair of the AI in Education Committee at the Federation for European Education (FEDE).

The appointment was announced during the FEDE General Assembly 2026, an international gathering that brought together more than 170 participants from 23 countries to explore the challenges and opportunities of artificial intelligence in education, institutional strategy, and leadership.

The newly established AI in Education Committee has been created to support collaboration among institutions and experts across Europe, with a focus on developing coherent, human-centered, and system-level approaches to integrating artificial intelligence into education.

During the General Assembly, Dr. MirzaHosseini also contributed as a panel speaker in the session on digital and technological transitions, where he presented AIC’s AI-integrated MBA programme designed to support leaders in managing transformation in the AI era.

This appointment reflects not only individual recognition, but also the growing role of Avicenna International College as an active contributor to international discussions on the future of education.

At AIC, this perspective is grounded in the implementation of the AIMES model (AI-integrated Modular Education System), where intelligent technologies are integrated into a mentorship-based and human-centered learning environment.

Through its engagement with FEDE and participation in international initiatives, Avicenna International College continues to contribute to shaping the future of education at both institutional and system levels.
