AI training for the teachers of AIC- Dec 14, 2024
Early in December, 2024, more than 20 teachers at AIC participated in a practical workshop to learn how they can use various AI and digital learning tools to create tasks and thematic lesson plans for competency-focused, task-based, and discussion-centered education. The event photos show how teachers gained first-hand learning experience with image-based discussion tasks (ideal for developing 21st-century competencies) and then immersed themselves in crafting their own learning and teaching materials using AI technology.
Course developer and AI expert Dr. Kornél Farkas said: “It was a great pleasure to see the interest and effort of all participants as they got to know a small set of AI tools and put them to practical use right away. The study material was taken from a series of 5 AI-focused courses I have developed with the AIC Teacher Education unit, and I can’t wait to work with this group of teachers again in the Spring of 2025, when all our FEDE-approved teacher training courses will be up and running. Many of the participants told me they are surely on board for this programme.”
