A Level -1 or AS is the first year of an internationally recognized British System offered by the Cambridge University. Those students who have finished 10 years of education with 2 years in secondary education can join this program. Those who join A Level have usually completed their IGCSE but this is not a prerequisite to enroll in this program. The previous studies in Hungary or outside Hungary are always considered positively. AIC students can study Grade 11 and AS in parallel. The science subjects are chosen by the students depending on their future university study plan.

At Grade 10 students finish their IGCSE program and at the end of the year, they take the exams which leads to international certificates issued by EDEXCEL - PEARSON. We offer a strong basis for languages and science subjects. AIC students are allowed to complete IGCSE-2 together with Hungarian Bilingual High School Grade 10. In this way, they can earn two prestigious diplomas at the end of year 12.

International and Hungarian students can apply for IB Diploma Program at AIC which will be under the auspices of IBO. IB Diploma Program essentially takes two years to complete. However, most students will need one-year Pre-IB studies to prepare them for successful IB studies which leads to an internationally recognized diploma. Also, those international students who just join AIC for A Level studies may need to complete this course to bridge the gaps in their previous studies especially if they have not been trained in a British system.

Hungarian and international students can apply to study at the high school program of Avicenna International School. All students should provide the documents of at least 8 years of previous studies. Students can apply from any system with any language and science background. The Admission Department will review all the credentials of previous studies and invite all students for a test called APT (Avicenna Placement Test). The Pre-High School year is designed to intensively train students in English, Hungarian, mathematics and other subjects preparing them for a successful international and bilingual degree.
