The Ambassador of Iran to Hungary, H.E. Mr. Arefi, and the respected Consul, Mr. Aghamohammadi, paid a visit to Avicenna International College (AIC) on Friday (2020/11/20). They met with a small group of representative students. All health protocols including wearing a face mask, proper distancing, and a maximum number of 10 participants were observed. The "Post-Secondary Education" at Avicenna International College includes the "Avicenna Medical Foundation Program", "German Foundation Program", "English Foundation Program" and "NCUK Program", as well several other programs. Today (17/09/2020) the Foundation Programs at AIC for the 2020-2021 academic year officially started. During an opening ceremony the President of AIC, Dr. Shahrokh MirzaHosseini, and the Headmaster, Mr. Csaba Dani, held motivating speeches for the high school students, some parents, teachers, and the staff of the Student Center who were present in the event. Avicenna International College has taken another major step in its internationalization path. Many hours of hard and dedicated work in a delicate process has resulted in success. AIC is now accreditated and recognized by OCN NI. OCN NI is one of the major, best-known and prestigious accreditation bodies in the UK. AIC can now deliver over 100 UK-accredited programs in Budapest. 

After my telephone conversation today with Semmelweis University concerning the entrance exam and with respect to the fact your health and safety is the most important goal both for the university and college, it was agreed that our students will take the entrance exam from their homes. The situation with Szeged University is being discussed for a joint or separate exam and I will inform you soon.

Right after Brexit, Dr. Shahrokh MirzaHosseini, President of Avicenna International College (AIC) held talks with the education authorities in the Uk and met with several UK partner universities. After several years of intense work and after the successful launch of the NCUK center in Budapest, It was decided that AIC will establish a branch in the UK. The request of AIC was reviewed and granted with a positive decision. As of March 14, 2020, "Avicenna International College - UK" is officially incorporated and will provide educational services to the UK and international students. This is a great step for AIC global development, especially in relation to its UK and British standards.

Dear Students of AIC, Dear Applicants to Semmelweis and Szeged Universities, The entrance exam to these universities is getting closer. Although we have not received any new instructions from the universities about these exams, we should assume that the exams will be held as scheduled, unless otherwise instructed.

We are in an emergency situation. Yet, the response of AIC to the extraordinary conditions have been prompt and adequate. This has been recognized by the Hungarian Education Authority and the Ministry. AIC was the first in Hungary to provide online education and since then all our teachers are providing education in their classes.
