We had the honour to host Mr Adam Connor at the AIC, who is the NCUK Regional Manager from Manchester. Mr Adam came to pay us a visit by the invitation of the AIC-NCUK Academic Manager Mr Steve and spent an action-packed full day with us in Budapest, that started with a guided tour in the Hungarian Parliament in the company of Ms Katalin who is in charge of cultural programmes at Avicenna.

On the 10th of June, we revived the good old tradition of holding a Graduation Ceremony at the Avicenna. During the two years of Covid it wasn’t possible to hold such a high-profile gathering so this year we did it, as a much-anticipated social event. AIC held its second graduation ceremony for the 12th-grade students of the International High School Program (2016-2021) On Monday (15.06.2021). This year was full of isolation for many, therefore we were extremely happy to be able to organize this event. The "Post-Secondary Education" at Avicenna International College includes the "Avicenna Medical Foundation Program", "German Foundation Program", "English Foundation Program" and "NCUK Program", as well several other programs. Today (17/09/2020) the Foundation Programs at AIC for the 2020-2021 academic year officially started. During an opening ceremony the President of AIC, Dr. Shahrokh MirzaHosseini, and the Headmaster, Mr. Csaba Dani, held motivating speeches for the high school students, some parents, teachers, and the staff of the Student Center who were present in the event. Avicenna International College has taken another major step in its internationalization path. Many hours of hard and dedicated work in a delicate process has resulted in success. AIC is now accreditated and recognized by OCN NI. OCN NI is one of the major, best-known and prestigious accreditation bodies in the UK. AIC can now deliver over 100 UK-accredited programs in Budapest. 

After my telephone conversation today with Semmelweis University concerning the entrance exam and with respect to the fact your health and safety is the most important goal both for the university and college, it was agreed that our students will take the entrance exam from their homes. The situation with Szeged University is being discussed for a joint or separate exam and I will inform you soon.
