Grade 11 of AIC High School program is in parallel with A Level -1 which prepares the students for a Cambridge qualification. Students can choose to follow both programs simultaneously with spending a little more time and effort. At this grade, AIC students are already fluent in English and have taken a few international exams. Further consolidation of languages and sciences continues at this grade, yet students get introduced to university admission requirements.
After successful completion of Grade 9, students are promoted to Grade 10 which can also prepare the students for IGCSE-2 as a Cambridge University qualification. Upon completion of the Avicenna high school program, students will be conferred a degree called “Érettségi” which is recognized by all 27 EU countries and all around the world. Students can join any Hungarian or other European universities after successful completion of this program. Grade 10 will further expand the language abilities of our students and prepare them for A-Level studies. English, German and Hungarian are the languages in focus. A strong science program along with other subjects are offered by AIC experienced international teachers.
English-Hungarian High School Grade 9 Hungarian and international students who have completed 8 years of studies can join Grade 9 of English-Hungarian Bilingual High School Program. Upon completion of this high school program, students will be conferred a degree called “Érettségi” which is recognized by all 27 EU countries and all around the world. Students can join any Hungarian or other European universities after successful completion of this program. Grade 9 is mainly focused on three languages of English, German and Hungarian. Students also study biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics. Grade 9 students are also trained for IGCSE-1 which can lead to Cambridge qualifications.
Hungarian and international students can apply to study at the high school program of Avicenna International School. All students should provide the documents of at least 8 years of previous studies. Students can apply from any system with any language and science background. The Admission Department will review all the credentials of previous studies and invite all students for a test called APT (Avicenna Placement Test). The Pre-High School year is designed to intensively train students in English, Hungarian, mathematics and other subjects preparing them for a successful international and bilingual degree.
IMAT (International Medical Admission Test) is offered by Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing for admission to medical universities in Italy. BMAT (The BioMedical Admissions Test) is also offered by Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing. By successful completion of BMAT students can apply to highly prestigious UK universities as well as many other medical and veterinary schools in Europe and outside Europe. Avicenna is an accredited center for both IMAT and BMAT.
German Foundation Program (GFP) at Avicenna is designed for those students who have completed their high school and plan to continue their studies at a university in Germany, Austria or Swiss where the language of instruction will be German. GFP focuses on the development of German language skills of the students. All eligible students can apply for this course but prior knowledge of German is not a requirement.
Avicenna Business Foundation Program (BFP) is designed for those international students who have finished high school and would like to continue their studies in Europe in the English language based university. BFP will provide a strong basis in general and academic English for the students and also offer some understanding of basic business-related subjects. Our graduates can apply to any European or North American university.
English Foundation Program (EFP) at Avicenna International College prepares the students for successful studies at any European or North American university with respect to general and academic English skills. All credits of EFP are designed based on CEFR (Common European Framework of References for Languages) and prepare our students in 4 skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) for international examinations such as IELTS.
AMFP is a well-structured program for those international students who are fluent in English and plan to continue their medical studies in one of the European universities. AMFP, as a well-respected pre-university program prepares international students not only for successful entrance into a medical course in English but also thanks to its extensive and balanced content, trains the students to address the challenges of the first two years of the medical school.
