Sustainability and Innovation Project Week took place at Avicenna International College between 24-28th of April. Preparation for the programs started weeks in advance in order to make this a meaningful event for AIC high school students. Students were divided into groups as a way to strengthen cohesiveness and teamwork of the AIC community, and were given specific topics to research and eventually present to their fellow students.

This April Avicenna International College organised the German Travel and Study programme called Lindau Deutsch camp for the second time in a row. The programme was fully funded by AIC, the students had to pay for their train tickets only. This time around we had 11 GFP students and one high school student from Grade 11 accompanied by Frau Ágota as the leader of German language education at AIC and Herr Steve, AIC principal and Travel and Study programme manager. At Avicenna we started in this year of 2023 to give our most dedicated and hard-working students unparalleled opportunities to take part in travel and study programmes in the so-called Erasmus Group Mobilities as part of our Erasmus projects, supported by the EU Commission, intent on a full swing internationalisation. These mobilities bring us closer to other EU high schools deepening ties at every level and building long lasting relationships for academic, career and friendship purposes. On 19 March 2022 the very first group of 10 students from Avicenna will depart for a two-week long Erasmus mobility project in Foligno, Italy. The students will board a plane for Rome with their accompanying teacher and Erasmus coordinator Mr. Steve and with Mr. Reza who is our photographer and media-man. From Rome they will take a hired bus to go to their destination city in the Umbria Region called Foligno. From the Avicenna International College (AIC) in Budapest, I took part in an Erasmus short term mobility course in the Eternal City in the first week of December 2021 as part of our project called Building a network in the field of education within the EU. The name of the course organised by our host Alessandro Gariano from Enjoy Italy was: Cultural Heritage Education and Storytelling.
