English-Hungarian High School Grade 9

English-Hungarian High School Grade 9 Hungarian and international students who have completed 8 years of studies can join Grade 9 of English-Hungarian Bilingual High School Program. Upon completion of this high school program, students will be conferred a degree called “Érettségi” which is recognized by all 27 EU countries and all around the world. Students can join any Hungarian or other European universities after successful completion of this program. Grade 9 is mainly focused on three languages of English, German and Hungarian. Students also study biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics. Grade 9 students are also trained for IGCSE-1 which can lead to Cambridge qualifications.

Pre-High School Year (pre – 9)

Hungarian and international students can apply to study at the high school program of Avicenna International School. All students should provide the documents of at least 8 years of previous studies. Students can apply from any system with any language and science background. The Admission Department will review all the credentials of previous studies and invite all students for a test called APT (Avicenna Placement Test). The Pre-High School year is designed to intensively train students in English, Hungarian, mathematics and other subjects preparing them for a successful international and bilingual degree.

IMAT – BMAT Prep Program

IMAT (International Medical Admission Test) is offered by Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing for admission to medical universities in Italy. BMAT (The BioMedical Admissions Test) is also offered by Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing. By successful completion of BMAT students can apply to highly prestigious UK universities as well as many other medical and veterinary schools in Europe and outside Europe. Avicenna is an accredited center for both IMAT and BMAT.

Diploma in German Language Studies (DGLS)

Diploma in German Language Studies (DGLS) at Avicenna is designed for those students who have completed their high school and plan to continue their studies at a university in Germany, Austria or Swiss where the language of instruction will be German. DGLS focuses on the development of German language skills of the students. All eligible students can apply for this course but prior knowledge of German is not a requirement.

Students from EU countries and the countries where a visa is not required, can enter Hungary and register at AIC. These students will then be introduced to the Immigration Authority in Budapest.
