Some of the students of Avicenna Medical Foundation Program who have arrived in Budapest late due to COVID-19 restrictions met with the President of AIC today on Monday, January 12th, 2021. The President of Avicenna International College held two separate consultation sessions today for the English Foundation Program (FEP) and German Foundation Program (GFP) students. In this session, students had a chance to introduce themselves and also learn about the main points to be raised when a student introduces himself/herself. Students also had a chance to explain their academic goals in the future. Similar sessions will be held in the future considering the health regulations and COVID-19 protection measures.

During an opening ceremony the President of AIC, Dr. Shahrokh MirzaHosseini, and the Headmaster, Mr. Csaba Dani, held motivating speeches for the high school students, some parents, teachers, and the staff of the Student Center who were present in the event. "érettségi" at Avicenna International College 2020, June 11. We are proud to announce that our Hungarian and international students received their érettségi (High School Diploma) from the Hungarian Government after completing their studies at the "English-Hungarian Bi-lingual International High School" of Avicenna International College. This degree is accepted in Hungary and all around the world. With this degree, our graduate students can study in Hungary or any other European country with no need for accreditation or evaluation. This degree states that our students have successfully completed high school or secondary studies. It is also a European language certificate (similar to IELTS). So our students do not need to take any other language test during university studies. This degree states that they have English knowledge equal to C1 and also in Hungarian language minimum equal to B1 or B2.

Avicenna International College regards the safety and well-being of its students, teachers, colleagues, and visitors as its most important goal and priority. AIC never stopped serving its students during the lock-down and today we open the campus doors to our community members. We will continue providing online education, consultation, and services to reduce the need to be present at college personally. However, whenever it is required to be present at the college campus, it is mandatory to have PPE and observe social distancing and other health measures to protect everyone during the coronavirus pandemic.

Right after Brexit, Dr. Shahrokh MirzaHosseini, President of Avicenna International College (AIC) held talks with the education authorities in the Uk and met with several UK partner universities. After several years of intense work and after the successful launch of the NCUK center in Budapest, It was decided that AIC will establish a branch in the UK. The request of AIC was reviewed and granted with a positive decision. As of March 14, 2020, "Avicenna International College - UK" is officially incorporated and will provide educational services to the UK and international students. This is a great step for AIC global development, especially in relation to its UK and British standards.

AIC will start with its online education services. The ICT Department of AIC and all the teachers and authorities had a meeting with the President today (09/03/2020). It was announced that the ICT Department has been working hard for the past few days and from tomorrow the new systems of online education will be installed and start working. This will be a great help to the students who will have to learn and study at home to decrease the risks of viral infection. More information about the system will be soon published and all students and teachers will get the technical explanation via their Avicenna emails.
