Hungarian and international students at grade 12 get ready for the final examinations which are held by the Hungarian Ministry of Education. Our students stand among the most qualified students at national and international levels. Grade 12 students are also prepared for their university studies. Previous AIC students have successfully joined the most prestigious universities in Europe. They study in medical, technical and business fields.

Grade 11 of AIC High School program is in parallel with A Level -1 which prepares the students for a Cambridge qualification. Students can choose to follow both programs simultaneously with spending a little more time and effort. At this grade, AIC students are already fluent in English and have taken a few international exams. Further consolidation of languages and sciences continues at this grade, yet students get introduced to university admission requirements.

After successful completion of Grade 9, students are promoted to Grade 10 which can also prepare the students for IGCSE-2 as a Cambridge University qualification. Upon completion of the Avicenna high school program, students will be conferred a degree called “Érettségi” which is recognized by all 27 EU countries and all around the world. Students can join any Hungarian or other European universities after successful completion of this program. Grade 10 will further expand the language abilities of our students and prepare them for A-Level studies. English, German and Hungarian are the languages in focus. A strong science program along with other subjects are offered by AIC experienced international teachers.

English-Hungarian High School Grade 9 Hungarian and international students who have completed 8 years of studies can join Grade 9 of English-Hungarian Bilingual High School Program. Upon completion of this high school program, students will be conferred a degree called “Érettségi” which is recognized by all 27 EU countries and all around the world. Students can join any Hungarian or other European universities after successful completion of this program. Grade 9 is mainly focused on three languages of English, German and Hungarian. Students also study biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics. Grade 9 students are also trained for IGCSE-1 which can lead to Cambridge qualifications.

On March 15th, we gather to commemorate the Revolution of 1848, the Hungarian War of Independence against the Habsburg monarchy, a pivotal event in our quest for independence and democratic rights. My choice of course was a different one regarding structured educational visits but unfortunately that one was cancelled with my accommodation and flight ticket already booked so I had to look elsewhere and I found this. AIC opened the New Year with a very unique cultural program located under Buda Castle to improve the knowledge of the graduating class about modern history. Out of 29 students and adults,13 grade12 and six Italian Erasmus students visited the Hospital in the Rock Nuclear Bunker Museum (Hungarian: Sziklakórház Atombunker Múzeum) with six Erasmus teachers from Italy and four accompanying teachers from Avicenna Bilingual High School.
