Successful achievement at the Kontra József National Chemistry Competition Cintia Tamás, a G9 student, secured the ninth position in the semi-finals of the Kontra József National Chemistry Competition. The two rounds of the competition featured calculation problems with varying levels of general chemical knowledge and theoretical questions requiring deeper understanding. Although only the top five participants will advance to the finals, we are not disappointed and are looking forward to next year competition with renewed enthusiasm and the experiences gained. Environmental Changes for Sustainable Schools This course regarding environmental sustainability education at schools took place in the middle of summer, and as such it was a natural choice since we are about to lunch our Eco-school application. The training took place in one of the two headquarter buildings of Europass Academy in central Florence. My classmates came from Bulgaria, Greece, Portugal and Spain, and also one Hungarian lady. We are excited to announce some significant updates to our Foundation Programs at Avicenna International College. These changes are designed to better reflect the academic content and career pathways offered by each program. Effective immediately, the following updates have been made:

This April Avicenna International College organised the German Travel and Study programme called Lindau Deutsch camp for the second time in a row. The programme was fully funded by AIC, the students had to pay for their train tickets only. This time around we had 11 GFP students and one high school student from Grade 11 accompanied by Frau Ágota as the leader of German language education at AIC and Herr Steve, AIC principal and Travel and Study programme manager. On 4. April AIC took a few Foundation Students from AMFP, BFP and TFP on a free visit to the Parliament. This time, they were guided by an English audio guide on a 45-minute tour of perhaps the most beautiful Parliament in the world. The group of ten, consisting mainly of Persian students and one Russian student, with two escorts, took a direct tram from the AIC building to the Parliament as usual. After long preparations, AIC launched its programme of visits to the Library of the Hungarian Parliament in mid-February 2023. Our first group of nine high school students and three teachers set off after their lessons to visit the 150-year-old, grandiose library, where they were given a half-hour summary on books on Hungarian and international law, political science, history, their lending facilities, a brief history of the library, and then a memorable walk in a place in an atmosphere that could provide a quality learning environment for some of our high school students after they turn 18.
