For the first time, Avicenna International College organized a two-round English Language Competition for 6th-8th grade students, with the aim of covering all primary schools in Budapest.   The online round took place on 28 January 2023, for which 133 students registered free of charge, and the second, offline round was held on 13 March. After long preparations, AIC launched its programme of visits to the Library of the Hungarian Parliament in mid-February 2023. Our first group of nine high school students and three teachers set off after their lessons to visit the 150-year-old, grandiose library, where they were given a half-hour summary on books on Hungarian and international law, political science, history, their lending facilities, a brief history of the library, and then a memorable walk in a place in an atmosphere that could provide a quality learning environment for some of our high school students after they turn 18. Thanks to its successful application, after 2 subsequent short term, one-year long projects at AVICENNA International College now we have won with our long-term, i.e., 5-year ERASMUS Project Plan, which is all about internationalization, participation in the EU high school education system, meaning fuller integration and involvement. In addition, AVICENNA immediately became a prominent ERASMUS accredited school in Hungary by being the 3rd best out of 8 applicants from Budapest, while it was ranked 9th out of a list of 30 national applications. 10 Italian students accompanied by their three teachers from the Sigismondi High School in Nocera Umbra (Umbria region) joined AIC for 10 days in the framework of an Erasmus grant supported EU student mobility for the purposes of scholastic and cultural exchange between EU high schools. In keeping our tradition, AIC took its secondary school students, this time grade pre-9, the language preparation class, on a guided tour held in English to the Hungarian Parliament in October. The group departed from the school after the morning classes.
