By |2023-05-26T10:00:16+02:00May 16th, 2023|News|0 Comments

In March 2023, Avicenna International College (“Avicenna”) signed a memorandum of understanding with Corvinus University of Budapest. Avicenna is a unique local high school in Budapest, that teaches Hungarian curriculum in English language to predominantly international students. Although the University has more than 250 international partners and works with many of the leading high schools in Hungary, this agreement is the first of its kind for Corvinus. The partnership is, therefore, a key milestone for both Avicenna and the University in their internationalisation objectives, since the College will provide quality international students with greater accessibility to Hungarian higher [...]

International Student Festival – ISF-2

By |2023-04-14T15:52:15+02:00April 12th, 2023|Uncategorized|0 Comments

Our mission As AIC educates more than ten nationalities every year the need for the organization of an International Festival has become evident. We felt that the cohesion between our ethnic groups could be grown by an event where each nationality represented by any number of students in AIC would be given equal opportunity to show their traditions. We, who wanted to make it all happen, know very well that there is no mutual understanding in the world without understanding each other's different cultures. We are partly counting on the involvement of our students, especially in the secondary [...]

The 1848 Hungarian revolution, also known as the Spring of Nations, was a pivotal event in Hungary's and Europe's modern history. The revolution grew into a war for independence from the Austrian Empire, which was ruled by the Habsburg monarchy. Although the revolution ultimately failed, it remains one of the most significant events in Hungary's history, forming the cornerstone of modern Hungarian national identity. The revolution marked the beginning of a new era in Hungarian history, and it fundamentally changed the course of the country's political and social development. The Hungarian Revolution of 1848 is commemorated annually on [...]

After long preparations, AIC launched its programme of visits to the Library of the Hungarian Parliament in mid-February 2023. Our first group of nine high school students and three teachers set off after their lessons to visit the 150-year-old, grandiose library, where they were given a half-hour summary on books on Hungarian and international law, political science, history, their lending facilities, a brief history of the library, and then a memorable walk in a place in an atmosphere that could provide a quality learning environment for some of our high school students after they turn 18. From the [...]
