Avicenna International College is inviting its bilingual high school students for two upcoming programs on October 12 and 17. One is the now-traditional 45-minute visit to the Hungarian Parliament, which will give an insight both into Hungarian history and the grandiose architecture of the 18th century. The other program is a visit to the Szabó Ervin Library in Budapest with the help of a local English guide, to try to shape and develop the learning habits of our students. Avicenna International College, a unique English-language secondary school and university preparatory institution that has been active for more than 25 years is hosted its first International Student Festival on May 27, 2022. At the event, 11 active groups out of the 15 different nationalities represented at the institution had the opportunity to showcase an exclusive slice of their own cultural background. Namely, students studying at AIC from Egypt, India, Iran, China, Korea, Hungary, Nigeria, Russia, Syria, Turkey, and Vietnam entertain each other and the invited guests of the institution with their talents developed in poetry, music, dance, and exotic sports. On the 14. of May 29 students from two EFP classes with their beloved teachers and the AIC guides decided to join the tour to a small castle town,Visegrád, 45 km north of Budapest in the most photographed sight of the Danube Band. Our train departed from the Western Railway Station at 9.08 and we had a 40 mins journey on a brand new double-decker train to Nagymaros-Visegrád. Ambassador of Venezuela in Hungary (H.E. Jose Reinaldo Camejo Diaz) paid an official visit to Avicenna International College on Thursday (February 24, 2022). During this visit, the Ambassador held talks with the President and other officials of AIC.

Mr. Andras Piko, Mayor of Budapest 8th District, accompanied by the Deputy-Mayor and the Head of Cabinet, visited Avicenna International College on Tuesday 26 of October 2021. On this occasion, AIC colleagues introduced the educational programs for the Hungarian and international students. The cultural and extracurricular programs were also introduced which drew the attention of the delegation. Dr. MirzaHosseini, President of AIC, explained the Department of Investment and Development (DID) and its sustainable projects in the districts which are designed for the welfare of the international students. AIC students and colleagues met at the Visitor Centre 30 mins before the tour guide started. During this time we arranged some administration. Having gone through strict control at the entrance we were given headsets to wear during the tour. After the English-speaking tour guide had given us an initial description about the historical period of the constructions we were guarded to the City Side Staircase or „Golden Stairway” (building’s Northside), which used to belong to the Upper House. Semmelweis University has improved its previous position in the 2021 world rankings of the “US News Best Global Universities” in several disciplines. The university was ranked related to 8 medical and health science professions, ranking first in each field in Hungary. The university also achieved the best ranking this year in the “Cardiology and Cardiovascular System” field, which improved twenty-five places and became the 87th best higher education institution in the world in this field.
