Avicenna International College Hungarian-English Bilingual High School held the Graduation Ceremony of the 2022–2023 academic year on the afternoon of May 4th. During this event the school bids farewell to the graduating high schoolers, and the graduates thank the teachers, staff and school mates for all the joyous memories they shared together.

For the first time, Avicenna International College organized a two-round English Language Competition for 6th-8th grade students, with the aim of covering all primary schools in Budapest.   The online round took place on 28 January 2023, for which 133 students registered free of charge, and the second, offline round was held on 13 March. The 118 students from 29 secondary schools with their teachers and parents mainly from Budapest assembled in the largest ground-floor auditorium, and sat around the tables allocated to their school, waiting to be called 10 minutes before their exams. The BODY WORLDS exhibits are one of the most successful travelling exhibitions in the world. On display since 1995, they have attracted more than 50 million visitors in over 150 cities across the Americas, Asia, Australasia, Europe and South-Africa. The primary goal of the exhibition creators, Dr. Angelina Whalley and Dr. Gunther von Hagens, is preventive healthcare. Thanks to its successful application, after 2 subsequent short term, one-year long projects at AVICENNA International College now we have won with our long-term, i.e., 5-year ERASMUS Project Plan, which is all about internationalization, participation in the EU high school education system, meaning fuller integration and involvement. In addition, AVICENNA immediately became a prominent ERASMUS accredited school in Hungary by being the 3rd best out of 8 applicants from Budapest, while it was ranked 9th out of a list of 30 national applications. Last week, students at Avicenna International College participated in their semi-final exams for the foundation programs. The exams consisted of both written and oral components, and students worked hard to showcase their knowledge and skills. 10 Italian students accompanied by their three teachers from the Sigismondi High School in Nocera Umbra (Umbria region) joined AIC for 10 days in the framework of an Erasmus grant supported EU student mobility for the purposes of scholastic and cultural exchange between EU high schools. H.E. Mr. Jose Reinaldo Camejo Diaz, the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela paid a visit to Avicenna International College on Thursday 27th of October 2022. We are honored that Mr. Ambassador chose AIC as one of his farewell visits in Budapest as very soon his mandate will end and he will return to his country. In the past few years, AIC has opened its doors towards Latin American countries and Venezuela was the first country to come on board and delegate students to AIC. We had the honour to host Mr Adam Connor at the AIC, who is the NCUK Regional Manager from Manchester. Mr Adam came to pay us a visit by the invitation of the AIC-NCUK Academic Manager Mr Steve and spent an action-packed full day with us in Budapest, that started with a guided tour in the Hungarian Parliament in the company of Ms Katalin who is in charge of cultural programmes at Avicenna.
