Paris, France - The Federation of European Education (FEDE) held its latest Steering Committee meeting in the enchanting city of Paris on September 21, 2023. Avicenna International College held its first School Camp at the magnificent surroundings of the soft range of Pilis mountains in Csattogó Völgy at Verőce on 4.-5. September. 2023. All the bilingual high school students, along with their teachers, traveled by train from Nyugati Railway station to Verőce where within a 15 mins walk in a lovely forest path, they reached the campsite. The AIC management has decided to give a special spin to the start of the year and organise team building in a very different way. The scenery for last year’s team building was the Pilis mountains when we went on hiking for the whole day. This time around it had to be a bit different, so we thought of renting two dragon boats and headed to the Danube for rowing.

The INTERNATIONAL NUMISMATIC COLLECTORS FESTIVAL is organized by the HUNGARIAN NUMISMATIC COLLECTORS SOCIETY in cooperation with Avicenna Holding, Hungarian Mint Ltd. and Procopius Numizmatika in 2023. On last day of the academic year 2022-23, on 16 June, just one day after the very highly quoted and memorable 3 day-long School Trip to Sopron and Vienna, we organized a short but concise End of the Year Ceremony.

36 AIC participants took part in this year’s School Trip to go to Sopron and Vienna on 13-15 June. We were 26 students and 10 colleagues strong, including our 5 Italian Erasmus students and their accompanying teacher for the trip Agatino, who came to us on a Job Shadowing assignment for the last week of the 2022-23 academic year.

 On 2 June our Students and Colleagues celebrated the much-awaited second edition of an Avicenna sequel called International Student Festival (AISF2). This Festival is the celebration of diversity and cultural awareness at AIC and its popularity and importance is on the rise as many more AISFs will follow. Sustainability and Innovation Project Week took place at Avicenna International College between 24-28th of April. Preparation for the programs started weeks in advance in order to make this a meaningful event for AIC high school students. Students were divided into groups as a way to strengthen cohesiveness and teamwork of the AIC community, and were given specific topics to research and eventually present to their fellow students.
