In March 2023, Avicenna International College (“Avicenna”) signed a memorandum of understanding with Corvinus University of Budapest. Avicenna is a unique local high school in Budapest, that teaches Hungarian curriculum in English language to predominantly international students. Although the University has more than 250 international partners and works with many of the leading high schools in Hungary, this agreement is the first of its kind for Corvinus. Avicenna International College Hungarian-English Bilingual High School held the Graduation Ceremony of the 2022–2023 academic year on the afternoon of May 4th. During this event the school bids farewell to the graduating high schoolers, and the graduates thank the teachers, staff and school mates for all the joyous memories they shared together.

The Federation of Education in Europe held its annual General Assembly in Milan from April 04, 2023. Representations from different countries and educational institutions participated in the event. For Hungarian and International High School Students AIC Summer Camp Program is a supervised program for students between the age of 13-17 from Hungary and outside Hungary, (European and non-European countries). The Hungarian farsang, also known as the carnival season, is a festive period leading up to the start of Lent. This celebration is a time for indulging in food, drink, and merriment before the period of fasting and reflection that Lent represents in the Christian tradition. AIC held its first farsang a few days ago which went very well. We held a raffle selling tickets to win prizes that stole the show over all the other games. On the 11th of November 2022, G11 visited the famous Fiume Graveyard. This extracurricular program was organized by their history teacher, Márk Máté, with the goal of providing AIC students the opportunity to expand their knowledge on the historical era and the people being discussed in school. The program was centered around the stories, tombs and mausoleums of Hungarian intellectuals, politicians and army officers who took an active role in the Reform Era and the Revolution and War of Independence of 1848-49. The promenade (prom) dance night of AIC seniors coupled with the ribbon ceremony (’Szalagavató’ in Hungarian, [lit] ribbon graduation) was held on the 17th of November (Thursday), for the second time in the Ferencváros Cultural Center and Theater. During the ceremony, the Principal of Avicenna High School (Mr. Steve Szabó) gave a welcome speech to open the event highlighting the vast number of international students in the graduating year. On the 8th of November, the President of Avicenna International College opened the roundtable discussion regarding development investment projects in the Orczy quarter.
