After years of preparation and hard work, AIC was finally given the opportunity to offer short-term Erasmus+ mobility experiences to our high school students. This semester, fully embarking on this project, we have completed two trips: first to Italy with a group of older students, and then to Ireland with another group of the younger ones. Ten students were selected to spend two weeks in Ireland accompanied by their history teacher, Mr. Mark. Within this short-term Erasmus program, we took part in a so-called “Authentic Irish Experience” project which meant that we were accommodated by local Irish families in Dublin for the duration of our stay and took part in a two-week course provided by Apollo Language Center. The students spent their classes engaging in interactive learning activities with the aim of gaining a deeper understanding of Irish history, language and culture, and also to expand their knowledge and consciousness of intercultural values and European citizenship.

This April Avicenna International College organised the German Travel and Study programme called Lindau Deutsch camp for the second time in a row. The programme was fully funded by AIC, the students had to pay for their train tickets only. On 4. April AIC took a few Foundation Students from AMFP, BFP and TFP on a free visit to the Parliament. This time, they were guided by an English audio guide on a 45-minute tour of perhaps the most beautiful Parliament in the world. For the first time, Avicenna International College organized a two-round English Language Competition for 6th-8th grade students, with the aim of covering all primary schools in Budapest.   The online round took place on 28 January 2023, for which 133 students registered free of charge, and the second, offline round was held on 13 March. The 118 students from 29 secondary schools with their teachers and parents mainly from Budapest assembled in the largest ground-floor auditorium, and sat around the tables allocated to their school, waiting to be called 10 minutes before their exams. For Hungarian and International High School Students AIC Summer Camp Program is a supervised program for students between the age of 13-17 from Hungary and outside Hungary, (European and non-European countries). On 19 March 2022 the very first group of 10 students from Avicenna will depart for a two-week long Erasmus mobility project in Foligno, Italy. The students will board a plane for Rome with their accompanying teacher and Erasmus coordinator Mr. Steve and with Mr. Reza who is our photographer and media-man. From Rome they will take a hired bus to go to their destination city in the Umbria Region called Foligno. The Budapest Market Hall is a must-see for anyone visiting Budapest. It is an open-air market that sells goods from all over the world. This bustling marketplace has been a feature of the Hungarian capital since 1237. Its exotic goods and vibrant atmosphere draw tourists from all over the world. On the 11th of November 2022, G11 visited the famous Fiume Graveyard. This extracurricular program was organized by their history teacher, Márk Máté, with the goal of providing AIC students the opportunity to expand their knowledge on the historical era and the people being discussed in school.
